Civil rights are not a spontaneous product in the life of nations. They have to be recognized, elaborated, matured, and applied through historical experience. In Argentina, many of these liberties and rights have not been born with the birth of the nation. As it happened with other aspects of the political and social life, the country had to develop these elements as it was maturing in its consciousness as a nation. Some of the great steps in this process were the result of the contribution that diverse human groups have been doing on time. In a particular way, this is what happened when the young Argentina opened its gates to numerous immigrants, that came to plant their dreams in these lands. Lots of them were Evangelical in their faith and had to struggle with great endeavor not to be excluded from the social community due to their religious faith. Among others, this struggle had two very important scenarios, which resulted in transcendental political decisions for the wellbeing of the nation: civil matrimony and civil cemeteries.
